Summer Youth Musical Theater Workshop - Beauty and the Beast The Summer Youth Musical Theater Workshop will present Disney's Musical Masterpiece, Beauty and the Beast! Co-sponsored by the Music Department and Continuing Education and Outreach. A fully staged production of Beauty and the Beast will be performed in Watters Theater at Binghamton University on Saturday, August 16th and Sunday, August 17th at 2 and 7:30 p.m. on both days. Beauty and the Beast is the Disney classic tale of an enchanted prince in the shape of a hideous beast and the intelligent girl from a provincial village who enters his life and must learn to love him if the curse is ever to be broken. The artistic director, Aaron Nicholson , founded the workshop in 1998. He, along with the talents of musical director Brenda Dawe, conductor Todd Robinson, program director Elaine Nicholson and guest director James Everett Lortz have been attracting the best theater students in the area for years.
